Glenna Haven Lampley

Glenna Haven Lampley, age 85, died October 28, 2021. She was born in Winchester, IL on June 28, 1936, to Ada Belle Havens and Ira Wesley Havens.

Glenna moved to the Southern Baptist Childrens Home after her mother passed away and lived there until the age of 18.

She graduated from Carmi High School in 1954 and became a secretary for a law firm.

Glenna was an active member and pianist of the First Baptist Church of Carmi where she met her beloved husband of now 66 years, Burton Lampley.

After marriage, she and Burton moved to Indiana, MIchigan, Washington State and later made a home in Pensacola, Florida in 1964.

Glenna became a secretary for Warrington Baptist Church for 14 years and for the Pensacola Junior College Police Department for 22 years where she retired.

Glenna was an active member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church until her death.

Glenna is survived by her husband, Burton; her two adoring children, Patty Lutrick and David Lampley; and her four beloved grandchildren and their spouses, Ashley Lutrick, Kari Lampley-Duncan (Pamela Duncan), Hunter Lampley, Heather Gurley (Caleb Gurley).

A funeral service will be held on November 3, 2021, at 11a.m., visitation starting at 10a.m., at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.

A grave side service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
