Lowell Cooper – Homegoing Service

June 7, 1930 – April 17, 2024
Mr. Cooper was born on 6.7.1930 to Emmit and Alma Cooper.
He grew up in Norwood Ohio and met the love of his life, his wife Elva June Bishop (Cooper) at Norwood Baptist Church.
He graduated from Georgetown College Ky.
Lowell & June married in 1952 and had 5 children, Lowell Scott Cooper (wife Kim), Linda Janet Tuck (husband Joel), Candace Lea Hansard (husband Stone), Connie Lynn Cooper (husband Jeff Fuller) & June Roxanne Mayorca.
Lowell retired from the navy after 23 years of service as a naval aviator.
He received the National Defense service medal with Bronze Star, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and two Meritorious Unit Commendations.
Lowell is a man of Christ and lived his walk daily in the Lord among his lemon, Orange and lime trees, he toiled in his vegetable garden growing his love of family and life.
Lowell spent 50 years singing in the church and served as a deacon & Sunday School Director at Myrtle Grove Baptist.
Lowell’s children gave him joy and 12 Grandchildren, Adam (Rachael) , Allen (Mary) & Stone (Elizabeth)Hansard, Michael (Nicole), & Jeffery (Sarah) Cooper, Jennifer, Joshua & Jeremiah (Danielle) Tuck, Andrew Ryan (Sarah), Jake (Elizabeth) & Brent (Jeanna) Mayorca, & Allison Cooper-Fuller. Soon followed 17 Great Grandchildren all who love him dearly.
Lowell met the lord on April 17, 2024.
May he Rest In God’s granted Peace knowing his legacy will live in all the hearts of his loving family.
A life celebration for Lowell will be held Monday, April 22, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL 32506.
A reception will occur Monday, April 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL 32506.
A committal service will occur Monday, April 22, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Rd, Pensacola, FL 32508.
