MYRTLE GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH 5920 Lillian Highway, Pensacola, FL 32506 - 850-455-7389 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR BUSINESS MEETING ON July 18, 2012   The regular business meeting was held on July 18, 2012 at 6:00pm.  The meeting was held in the  worship center and was opened in prayer.    CLERK’S BUSINESS:  Bonnie Quinley presented the minutes of the June 20, 2012, Regular Business Meeting as printed in the July Business Meeting package.  Motion to approve by Ron Lowe and seconded by Keely Zayas.  APPROVED by show of hands. Requests for letters of church membership:  For June None New Members to be approved:  For June  Profession of Faith:  Peter Jensen Statement of Faith:  Tara Ann Sanders Letter: None Motion to approve by Ellen Guerin and seconded by Court Guerin.  APPROVED by show of hands.    TREASURER’S REPORT:  Comment: Shelia Ward:  I am grateful for people who continue to give.  Like Pastor Ron said, we  have been through some rough times over the past couple of years.  Our finances have held firm, thanks  to you, and our church is strong.  Continue doing what you do best in giving.  We appreciate that.   Shelia Ward presented the Financial Report for June as printed in the July Business Meeting package.  Motion to approve by Jack Windley and seconded by Ron Lowe.  APPROVED by show of hands.    COMMITTEE REPORTS:  None OLD BUSINESS:  None NEW BUSINESS:  None  ANNOUNCEMENTS: Pastor Ron:  The last Sunday of this month as we celebrate the Lord’s Supper,  we will have a very special guest, Andrew McNair, who is the grandson of Hines McNair, a member of  our church.  This amazing young man has authored two books on spiritual stewardship and tithing.   Andrew is in his late 20s and is an intelligent, sharp, young guy.  I was so impressed with him.  He is  involved with veteran’s benefits organizations.  He helps veterans get all their needs met.  But on the  side, he goes to churches and speaks on stewardship and tithing.  He will be our guest to give a  testimony on the 29th to share these principles on spiritual stewardship and tithing.  He is going to  challenge us as part of our overall thrust for spiritual revival by sharing how stewardship and tithing fit  right onto the whole concept of trusting God and being awakened and revived unto the Lord.
